Life changing in 7 months!

I have battled my weight for my entire life. I was always a little heavy in high school and then I got married and had three children in my early 20’s. From there, everyone and everything else came first – work, husband, children’s needs, volunteer work, etc.
Finally, when my children became teenagers – I realized that they didn’t need me around as much so I decided this was the time for me to focus on myself and get my life back in order. Since heart disease and diabetes run in my family, I wanted to focus on making permanent life style changes since I plan on living a long healthy life.
I signed up at Fun To Be Fit, worked with a personal trainer in the beginning, and changed my diet to a very healthy diet with the help of the nutritionist there. In nine months, I lost approximately 15% body fat (from about 37% to a healthy 22%) and 42 pounds. I feel like I am on top of the world. I know it sounds hokey, but it is true. I jump up out of bed in the morning with all the energy in the world, I need less sleep, I am more relaxed, and I lead a more balanced life. I don’t need coffee or caffeine drinks – which were how I made it through my hectic days in the past.

Marla lost 17 pounds, 8.6% body fat, 3 1/4" off of her waist, 1 3/4" off her hips, 1" off each thigh and gained a ton of confidence! All in just 12 weeks! We are so proud of you Marla!
The six week challenge changed my life! I have never wanted to join a gym in the past but I told a couple of my friends that I’d try “Fun to be Fit” for six weeks. Well, that was 9 months ago and my only regret is that I didn’t join a long time ago. I gave the six week challenge another shot this fall just to make sure I was staying on track and I actually won this time! I lost 6.2 % body fat and gained about 8 pounds of muscle in only six weeks, and I won a whole year of personal training.
I always thought I was in pretty good shape and ate healthy but I never saw many changes in my body no matter how many times I ran on that treadmill or how many fad diets I tried. Carol and Ben worked out a fitness and nutrition plan for me and now I am constantly seeing results and I feel great!
I get to work out every week with Ben and do the circuit training classes as many times as I can. I also signed up to have personal training with Crystal on a weekly basis. All the trainers at Fun to be Fit are awesome and they really care about my progress.
My advice to everyone is to try the six week challenge and see how it can change your life.

Mickey lost 18 pounds, 2 1/2" off of her waist, 2 3/4" off her hips, 1 1/2" off each thigh and 2" off each arm. She looks and feels radient! This is all in 6 WEEKS!!!!

We actually did it!
Sally and I transformed our bodies, got on stage and showed the world. The whole process took ~12 weeks. It was just before the New Years that Sally said enough is enough, I want to do something about my weight. Needless to say, she called our friend Carol from Fun to be Fit, and said, "I want to do the contest!"
Of course Carol was a happy little camper. She loves Fitness Competitions and boy does that enthusiasm help. How in the world do you think they got me to shave all my body hair and pose in a Speedo, not to mention all the work outs?
Needless to say, the experience was well worth it. Not just the way our bodies now look, but the new level of health we enjoy and the feeling of accomplished.
Now for some of the stats and the before and afters:
Sally went from 153 lbs to 135 lbs a loss of 18 lbs.
Her waist dropped 6 1/2 inches and her body fat went down to 12%
GO SALLY!

I went from 208lbs to 186lbs a loss of 22lbs.
My waist dropped 6 inches and I got down to 6.8% body fat.
